Flimsy

Flimsy
Sauntering misfortune
Trouble on the rise
It hardly took a second look
To see through the disguise

Someone out to capture
Commandeer the scene
With broken trust becoming just
A matter of routine

Fluttering relentless
To a new affair
As if to prove a dream come true
Can only happen there

Elegantly costumed
How the sight adorns
A sweet bouquet to lend its sway
And satisfy its thorns

See-through lies
Must also be so tantalizing
Promising only
To slowly disappear

People say she's flimsy
Hanging from a thread
A tragic case who had to face
The voices in her head

Making I'll get lucky
Giving her a call
And if I find my wish declined
The lesser I will fall

Safe inside
Idylls of tone and tapestry
Covering over
The ruthless light of day

Restless child
What has become of warm reunions?
Better than knowing
To close your eyes and make it go away
